How to add access behind a medicine cabinet?
Medicine cabinet is surface-mounted, but there's a shut-off valve behind it. Hate the idea of removing the whole cabinet for leaks. Can I frame a panel underneath?

You can notch the cabinet bottom and install a slim panel below. This access panel is narrow enough to slide under without blocking mirror swing. I cut the drywall, added 2x4 blocking for support, and painted it the same as the cabinet frame. Now I can reach the valve without uninstalling anything—saves ten minutes every time.
